Being obsessed with this recording I did a search of the forum archives and only saw two or three mentions of it. I imagine that lots of fans aren't aware it exists. IMO this is the Floyd holy grail. It also might be the most obscure Pink Floyd recording of all. As far as I know none of the members of the Floyd have even mentioned it in interviews. 

A little back-story...John Latham was one of the more controversial conceptual artists in the 1960's (think Yoko Ono, Fluxus). A couple of Latham's films, most notably Speak, were projected behind the Floyd's live set at the International Times launch at the Roundhouse in October '66 and later at a few shows in early 1967. He also had something to do with a 1/67 gig at the Commonworth Institute in London. It was mentioned in a local paper but the description it pretty vague. Anthony Stern thought he did some sort of set design. Back to the soundtrack. 

Speak is an 11 minute animated film that was known for it's intense flicker/strobe effect when shown in London area psychedelic clubs. That being the case Latham thought the Floyd would be a good match for its soundtrack.

Cheetara was ahead by a mile and two thirds, eventually coming face to face with Lion-O, they raced alongside one another to the finish of their race. Lion-O knew he could not win the race in this way, but his sheer determination allowed him to. Lion-O at first believed Cheetara had let him win, something which offended her, as the code of Thundera forbade such action. The distance they ran actually exhausted Cheetara's super speed, and she told him that his determination not to lose had allowed him to win the race." -- Vía

Her maker, Japan based robot maker Kokoro, says that she is supposed to give patients a heightened sense of security. Actroid-F is very realistic, but actually, she is pretty creepy too [...]  

Actroid-F, which was billed as "the fist true android" by Guiness World Records, weighs just 30 kg and is 140 cm tall (in a sitting position). Wait a few years for her makers to reduce the mechanical and chopping motions, make her walk, and act more independently.

Gyrating Animatronic Doll Will Haunt Your Dreams (Robbie Gonzalez, 2014)

Presented here for the first time, Wolfson's animatronic sculpture combines, film installation, and performance in the figure of a curvaceous scantily clad woman covered in dirt marks and wearing a witch mask. Unlike the artists's two-dimensional subjects, this life size character was developed in close collaboration with a special effects studio in California used by major Hollywood productions. The woman can be encountered on a one-to-one basis in a mirrored room in the gallery, creating a different kind of viewing experience that intensifies the importance of the gaze found in Wolfson's work.
